It’s almost the end of a year and the start of a new one. So, what better way to get ready for that than by creating a set up page for the year 2022? This is a great place to write out your intentions, goals, and plans for the year ahead. It’s also a great place to keep track of your progress!
The first thing we need to do is decide what our goals are for the year. What does the future look like for us? This is an important part of setting up any new year set up. If we don’t know where we’re going or what we want to accomplish, we can’t get there.
Let’s get started by taking a few minutes to think about what we want to accomplish in the coming year. Go ahead and make a list of everything you would like to have happen in the next twelve months. Maybe your list looks something like this:
Get healthy, Pay off debt, Save more money, Make more money, Be a better parent, Be a better spouse/partner, Learn a new skill, Grow my business, Start an exercise program, Travel to new places, Write a book, Get a new job or promotion, Have more time for my friends and family or Meditate more.
I could go on and on with what people typically list as their goals, but that list was just an example, right? And, any way you look at it, it is a long list, isn’t it? Well, this is where the power of the bullet journal really comes into play. By breaking down each of those big goals into smaller bite size chunks we can actually accomplish a lot. I’ve learned to write down my goals in each new year set up, and I have found this helps me stay focused and achieve my goals.
For many people, January is a time to start fresh, to make resolutions they plan to keep all year long. This is a great opportunity to create a new set up page in your bullet journal to include all the items you need to get started on your projects for the coming year. These items could include a calendar, a future log, a list of upcoming events, habit tracker or a list of goals you want to achieve by the end of the year.
